My 15th Birthday!

October 30th was my 15th birthday! Ahh! (!!!) And a VERY HAPPY ONE at that! ๐Ÿ˜€ Yeah, I know I’ve never given my age out- but I found that my Ma and Tory put my age out already so… So yeah… I’m now 15. That’s…. Crazy.

It was an absolutely amazing day. Oh my goodness.

We went to town- ate out at Cracker Barrel (the pizza place, with ‘New York pizza’ was closed… but no biggie!), made a quick stop at Pet Smart, and then got cupcakes at Gigi’s! ๐Ÿ˜€ Then we went to Walmart and shopped. โ™ฅ

It was seriously a great day!

I’m so glad we all had fun… ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m so grateful for my family…. They all mean the world to me. ๐Ÿ™‚ Even if we’re far away or under the same roof (which gets loud… I may add haha!), I love them all to bits. They gave me a great day- and Yahweh did, and He also gave me a WONDERFUL family. Or as I like to call us, a ‘bunch of crazies’. ;D

And, for my birthday…. I got a puppy! Welcome to the family, Waylon!

Now, actually; we got Hank Jr. first, before my birthday, for Rey. ๐Ÿ™‚ And then Tory told us he had a brother and… That was my surprise! ๐Ÿ˜€ We went and got all kinds of puppy stuff for him… ๐Ÿ˜€

They are absolutely sweet pups- Australian Shepherd mixes. ๐Ÿ™‚ ย We adopted them from a friend who works rescue and stuff; someone just dropped them off, I guess… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ But they enjoy their new home here!

So, yeah! Life has been very good. ๐Ÿ˜€ I had a GREAT birthday, the pups are sweet additions to our family, and we’ve all been doing very well! ๐Ÿ™‚

ย And now time to ramble a bit, because hey- what else am I good at? ;D

One thing that has been huge for me is… I feel like Yahweh has completely changed my heart- I didn’t even know it needed changing! But I have been working with stuff in life and… A few days before my birthday, I forgave my sister Meesha. None of you know about her, or what happened, but that’s OK. I’ve just been struggling with her lately, the whole mess that went on, and how she left- and finally, how much she hurt me when she lived here… It’s been going on for a bit, off and on, since I read Joseph RiverWind’s book (find that post here!)… But I forgave her last week. ย It was so simple- I was blown away (still am!) at how different I feel inside! I was outside writing/editing Seek… And I just stopped in the story again and asked God ‘How does this end? What happens between these two?” And I realized I couldn’t write it because I didn’t know. And then Yahweh showed me that I was ready to forgive Meesha.

So praise be to Yahweh… I am so joyous, and I am very grateful to God… this peace only comes from HIM!

And another thing on my heart that we were introduced to is The Samaritan’s Purse- Operation Christmas Child. Now, if you don’t know what this organization is (or even if you do) go check them out because they are seriously a gift from God. Here’s the link to their website:ย Samaritan’s Purse

We are doing the Christmas shoe boxes this year- and if you feel like Yahweh has placed it on your heart, it would be amazing if you did, too!

Doing it.. touched me. We’ve seen how poor some places can be, and how these people can have nothing, or their lives can be so hard- and yet, they have hope. It truly amazes me.

The people out there that are waiting to hear God’s Word. To see the people receive these shoe boxes, and then see the love for Yeshua grow in them, and watch them share it with their families… It is absolutely AMAZING to me.

I pray to help people, even if it is behind the scenes and small steps at a time. I know first that God wants me to start small- with my own family, maybe my own community. But this is something He’s shown me… It really touched me, all of those people, and sharing His Love with them…

I will be doing a post about all of this farther, but for now I’ll say: God has put it on my heart. โ™ฅ

ย ย Acts 6:4 – But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

I am not doing NaNo this year, as I said before- however, I am editing my novel Seek and it is coming along very well! Yahweh continues to show me things and fill me up… If I only pray and seek Him. โ™ฅ

Well! I guess that’s it for now… I’ll be back to posting and stuff soon. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve just been really enjoying life. ;D ย YHVH bless!

What about you? Are you doing NaNo or editing- how is it going? Do you like Australian Shepherds? Do you do the Christmas boxes? Talk to me, folks! โ™ฅ

  1. Happy belated birthday! It looks like you had a ton of fun!

Also thank you for sharing that last part about how God has been working in your heart — it’s always encouraging when one shares that. โค

  2. So glad you had a lovely birthday, Angela! ๐Ÿ™‚ (I would’ve guessed you older than me ;))
Those puppies are soooo cute!!! โค
YES OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD! Our church youth group is doing that. ๐Ÿ™‚ It's been an awesome experience!!
I'm not doing NaNo either. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope editing goes well for ya!

    • Thank you Faith. ๐Ÿ™‚ (Hehe! Yeah… My Ma says I’m a ‘old soul’ but I think I look like a little kid sometimes. ;D) They are! They are so funny; and love to fight each other. ;D
That’s so awesome, Faith!! It really is. โ™ฅโ™ฅ
๐Ÿ˜‰ Yeah, for me I have to edit but also, Yahweh just hasn’t put a story on my heart yet… ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!

  3. Adorable puppies! I know I have a puppy, but now I want an Aussie! Our dog Gidget is 1/4 Australian Shepherd, but it doesn’t really show.

Wow, I always thought you were way older than me! You’re just my age. ๐Ÿ™‚ But, well, I always think everyone is way older than me … *is short* ๐Ÿ˜‰ Happy Birthday!

I talked my parents into a puppy on ‘it was just my birthday’ strength though we didn’t get him until a couple weeks later.

And … yep. There are people I need to forgive … but it’s so hard! Some things really hurt, but I do need to forgive them … although it’s hard when you don’t know if the people you need to forgive even care. But, yep, I’m rambling. ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow, that was a long comment …

    • Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜€ They are silly lil’ buddies… Haha! They’re smart dogs but very engeretic- I’m praying we can train these two to help on the farm and stuff… Though now, they aren’t too sure about the giant 4-legged creatures who could stomp them… lol!
Oh haha! =D How old did you think I was? Haha, yeah I’m short too (HOBBIT SIZE FOR THE WIN!)- like, 5’1… I like being short, but it does surprise me when people think I’m older so I guess it’s cool hehe!
      Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚
I had no idea I was getting Waylon, because we just got Hank the day before, and I was already planning on helping with him… and then we found he had a brother and then they all surprised me and said I was getting Waylon. =D So time to refresh on my dog training skills now lol. ๐Ÿ˜‰ How is Riley? I saw how big that pup was getting! ๐Ÿ˜€
It is hard… When they hurt you in places you’ve really blocked out, and then you remember and it all kinda crumbles again… I fully know that Meesha does not care about me or any of us; but the Bible talks about forgiving- it doesn’t say you must always restore a relationship in order to forgive. In this day and age, it seems ‘forgiving’ is ‘accepting all the pain and lying down’… Forgiveness is a different path for everyone, and there is no set time to do so- but Yahweh is always with us. Forgiveness brings peace, and that’s what God wants us to have… I guess I’m rambling too but talking is great. ๐Ÿ™‚
I loove long comments! *gives you a cookie* ๐Ÿ˜‰ Oh, and good luck with NaNo! How is it coming?

      • Riley’s great! He’s a lot more energetic than Gidget, though. Maybe it’s a boy-dog thing. XD He was born in early July … so he’s getting pretty big! I’m having more trouble training him than I had training Gidget, but then I’ve been pretty busy.
NaNo is coming along really well, actually! I’ve exceeded my word count goal every day. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m working really hard, and things keep happening that are both exciting and weird – for instance, I added in a prologue I had no intention of writing and one of my characters took an … interesting turn. And then I was having difficulty planning out the relationship between two characters and it JUST FELL INTO PLACE!!! Thank God. โค ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Haha! YES I agree- boy dogs are crazy… Get to excited and they pee everywhere… They think they’re 10 feet tall… I love ’em but it’s new to me. ;D
AWESOME! ๐Ÿ˜€ That is so awesome Kellyn, congrats. And I am so glad to hear that, that is amazing! Praise Yeshua! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love when He does that. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • We used to have only boy dogs, and it was such a shock to get Gidget … such a huge difference! Girl-dogs are awesome. I love the boys, too (so much bark!), but girls are so sweet! ๐Ÿ˜€
I think God is really with me on writing this one. It has an important message that I’ve been wanting to get out for a while. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Lol! We’ve only had all girl dogs for the most part- sadly, all of the boy dogs we got we had to get rid off. But the boy change is super nice. ;D But they all bark, it’s so crazy… I don’t like lil’ yappy dogs though. xD
That is so amazing Kellyn… I cannot wait to read it. ๐Ÿ˜‰
