The Back To School Tag

Kellyn the Kool (guess what, girl, I have dubbed you, Irish style. *puts on sunglasses* ;D ) at Reveries made a tag: and a SCHOOL TAG, at that! Am I the only kid who likes school? We’ll find out. 😛

 1. THE RULES

  1. Thank the person who tagged you. ((AND I DUBBED YA! HA!))
  2. Answer the questions.
  3. Post new questions. (Or a blank copy of the old questions, if you’re too lazy to make your own (or you just love my questions))
  4. Tag as many (or as few) people as you want. (Try to make sure they’re still doing school!)
  5. Wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.
  6. Don’t die. ((I can’t promise anything lol))

2. THE QUESTIONS

Let’s do this. *cocks gun and runs into battle yelling*

When’s your first day of school?

Uh… not quite sure, honestly. Why? Because my Mom has a doctor treatment coming up this month, in about a week, for her Lyme. It is a while away so we’ll be renting a cabin. We are praying hard and have faith that the treatment will go well, and God will heal her. And, that God’ll heal the woman who switched dates with us- Praise YHWH!

So I don’t know when we start school. But we’ll be doing some reading during the week we go to her appointment.

What do (and don’t) you look forward to about entering the realm of the dead? Uh, I mean the learned?

HUSH, Kell. ;P I look forward to the history this year, honestly. I’m usually not thrilled about medieval history (*Gasp* How?! Since I have like two novels that are in this time and age?!), but this year, that’s the theme! But some of the books have some Norse mythology, and for the sake of my medieval novels, I am piqued. 😀

Homeschooled, public schooled, or private schooled?

HOMESCHOOLED FOR THE WIN! I have been homeschooled my whole life.

What grade are you going into? (if you’re okay sharing)

I’m going to be a sophomore this year- 10th grade. To be honest, I just now learned what those weird names were dedicated to: freshman, sophomore, junior, senior… heh, why can’t we just say the grades? 😉

How many more years of torture do you have to endure learn?

Uh… two, after this year, I guess. I don’t plan on going to college so.

What are your goals for this school year?

Do my best. As always, I try to set that goal of trying my best and having to accept that. Often, I’ll obsess over grades, at the same time thinking ‘it is what it is’… So, as always, my goals are to really hit the books and keep my heart on God.

What’s your favorite season to school in? Fall, winter, or spring?

We’ve actually never gone this far into fall without starting school… I don’t know the answer to this. But we usually start in fall. 🙂

How is schooling going to effect your blogging?

Wait, blogging? Kidding, kidding. I’m going to assume it’ll be the same kind of time frame. If anything, I’ll schedule it for once in my life and stick to it.

What’s your favorite school subject?

Grammar/writing/literature.  I also like languages! I’m learning Spanish (have been for like, 2 yrs now) and will be learning ASL this year, too.

Your least favorite?

LOL! I know this is mainstream, but math intimidates me, haha. I try! But I don’t look forward to it a whole lot.

What subject are you best at?

Writing. Reading. Grammar. Science, too.

What subject are you worst at?

I’m not saying I’m awfully dumb at math but… yeah.

What extra-curricular activities are you planning this year (if any)?

Let’s see…. Spanish/ASL. P.E. which involves horseback riding and training (I’ll be training my foal Mini and my mare, Taloowa), arts, and probably something else I can’t think of right now haha.

How are you preparing for life/college this year (on a conscious level)?

Sorta, yeah. I don’t plan on going to college, but life wise, I’m always trying to prepare! As you grow, I’ve learned just recently, life is short. I mean, I’m already preparing to get my driver’s permit (AHH), and then before I know it, I’ll be 18, and then who knows? Life is precious and goes by so fast. I can’t ell the future… but right now, I am blessed to have a family, and the opportunity to learn. I’m going to make it count!

Do you play any sports in school?

Who, ME?! Kidding. I’m not athletic, but I enjoy playing baseball with my family. As far as school, like I said, this year includes horses for PE. =D

Is there any way that schooling is going to help your blogging endeavors? Or how has it helped your blogging skillz in the past?

Uhhh… I don’t know haha. I guess it will help as far as topics go? I could write some posts on school, reviews, or do photo shoots/videos on the horses whilst training. 😛

How much time a day is school going to take for you?

I HAVE NO IDEA AHHH. At least, not going into this year. Last year, I breezed through stuff super fast… so this year, Mom was like ‘Ang, I’m challenging you. This’ll take longer.” And I’m sorta excited and freaked at once lol. I’ll survive, but yeah, my days are gonne be tight!

Are you looking forward to seeing friends more often during the school year?

I don’t have friends I can see in real life…

Are you dreading or looking forward to the event (or did you, if it’s already happened)?

I SAY BRING IT I AM EXCITED! WHOO! Shiny new books and knowledge and paper and pens and hours to study and take notes and hey maybe cry a bit because of math and shriek because dissecting a frog is no fun but I LOVE SCHOOL!

What are you most looking forward to about school?

Learning. Knowledge. The books.

How are you planning to fit actual life in with your school schedule?

That ain’t gonna happen lol. Real answer: We’ve made a schedula and we gotta survive lol so we’ll make do. I still want to finish my novel Jump, edit Seek+betas, and do some art but Mom is wonderful: writing/editing will count as school. *faints from gratitude*

What are your overall thoughts on school?

It is a gift. Hard, sometimes, difficult, frustrating, tiring: but man, are we blessed to do it. I love being homeschooled because it really gives you the chance to grow with Jesus and learn news things and take your time with what you retain and all. Also, I like taking notes, studying, and reading so I’m a school nerd, I guess.

WAS THAT FUN OR WHAT?! And now, I get to tag some nerds.

  1. Thanks for the tag, Angela! I totally agree – what is with all the weird names of grades once you enter ninth??? Everyone said “So you’re a freshman?” and I said “I guess so?” But I think I’m a sophomore now. 10th grade, right?

    It’s just unnecessarily confusing. 😛

  3. Amazing answers, Angela! You made me laugh aloud and my mom is trying to take a nap. *glares*

Seriously, though, she’s too far away to hear, but it did give me a moment of pause. 😛

    Thanks for doing the tag!

  4. Lots of fun GIFs! XD That’s so fun you’re learning ASL, I used to do that…
Lol, and yes, I totally agree about the grade thing! It took me until about last year or so to figure out the ‘freshman, sophomore, junior, senior’ thing XD #homeschooler.
Aw! Thank you for the tag!

    • =D *high five* And yes, ASL has been an interest but I just haven’t been able to get a book to do such, till now. Funny thing is, I used to do signing when I was super little, my Mom taught me some basics. 😀
I hope you enjoy it. =D
